Say No to Vaping

Upstate Oral Surgery and Dental Implants is partnering with Project Save A Mouth in February to inform Watertown students of the dangers linked to e-cigarettes.

Throughout National Children’s Dental Health Month, we’ll be highlighting the dangers of vaping not only to lung health but also to oral health. Join our efforts to Stop The Vape in our region!

Did You Know?

  • Dangerous chemicals including acrolein, acetaldehyde, and formaldehyde are produced by e-cigarette products. These chemicals can cause lung disease and cardiovascular (heart) disease.
  • E-cigarettes contain nicotine, even some products that are marketed as having zero nicotine.
  • Vapers who also smoke cigarettes have three times the risk of developing chronic lung disease.
  • Symptoms of nicotine sickness include dizziness, headaches, nausea, rapid heart rate, and dehydration.
  • The American Lung Association agrees that e-cigarette use among youth has reached epidemic levels.
